Storm warning has been declared in Astana and Akmola region on December 16 in connection with the sharp frost, the information posted at the website of the Kazakh Ministry for Emergency Situations said today.
"According to the "Kazhydromet" under the Kazakh Ministry of Environmental Protection, the sharp frost of 37-42 degrees is expected in the Akmola region on December 16, very sharp frost in some areas - 45 degrees," the message said. "The sharp frost of 40-42 degrees will be observed in Astana on December 16 at night."
