A two-month muster of flight personnel has finished in Kazakhstan, the ministry of defence announced on Tuesday.

Pilots of all the military airbases in Kazakhstan, as well as representatives of the Military Institute of Air Defence, took part in the muster.

'During the two months at one of the military bases in Almaty, pilots had tests and exams for approval, assignment and development of qualifications', the announcement says.

Training flights were held round the clock, very often in hard weather conditions. Crews were practicing air techniques and exercises on helicopters of different models such as the Mi-17, Mi-8, Mi-24, Mi-26 and Huey-2.

In order to approve their skills and qualifications, pilots had to overcome a number of examinations not only in the air but also on the ground. Between flights they were passing theoretic, rifle, combatant and physical training.
