The Kazakh and Iranian statistics agencies signed a memorandum of understanding following the Kazakh-Iranian business forum in Astana.
"The memorandum is aimed at developing the cooperation between the statistics agencies of the two countries," the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy said. "Within the document, the sides agreed to cooperate in the exchange of information on quality statistics governance, analysis and data privacy, the use of information - communication technologies in the census and surveys, economic indices, statistics standards and administrative data (registers)."
The memorandum of understanding in the field of statistics cooperation was signed by the chairman of the Committee on Statistics of the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy Alikhan Smailov and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iran, Ibrahim Rahimpur.
