The deputy chairman of the Agency for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes and the deputy chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs were dismissed Oct. 21 in line with a decree of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Nazarbayev's press service said that Abdrashid Zhukenov was dismissed as the deputy chairman of the Agency for Combating Economic and Corruption Crimes, while Ali Komekbayev was dismissed as the deputy chairman of the Agency for Civil Service Affairs.
Earlier, Kazakhstan abolished the financial police, and its functions were transferred to the newly created Agency for Civil Service Affairs.
