Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov delivered a speech at the ninth Extraordinary Congress of the Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to Atameken.
Smailov said that a special program is being developed to increase the income of the population.
“The measures are planned to be taken within the program to equalize the imbalance in income, ensure large-scale employment, implement industrial and agricultural projects, modernize the facilities, develop human capital and etc.,” the prime minister added.
Moreover, Smailov said that the government and Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund have developed a draft of a new procurement procedure upon the president’s instructions.
“About 10,000 commodity items worth 400 billion tenge ($932.5 million) will be purchased from domestic producers,” the prime minister said. “Moreover, it is planned to legally increase transparency and simplify the procedures for granting subsoil use rights and changing the terms of contracts.”
The prime minister added that together with the Domestic Entrepreneurs Council established in Kazakhstan, measures will be taken to improve the investment climate and business environment.
“A new investment policy concept, in which special attention will be paid to the private investments, has been developed,” Smailov said. “The work of the government will be aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency in taking state support measures focusing on small and medium-sized businesses in the districts in the future.”
While addressing the congress participants, the prime minister called on them to take an active part in the implementation of the tasks set by the president and in the work of the Domestic Entrepreneurs Council recently established under the government.
Chairman of the board of Atameken chamber Ablay Myrzakhmetov announced during the congress of the chamber that the board was resigning.
