BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 6. In Kazakhstan, it is proposed to launch a mechanism for subsidizing the remuneration rate for the population on the market mortgage of second-tier banks, Trend reports via Kazinform.

This was announced by Kanat Sharlapayev, Chairman of the Board of the Kazakh "Baiterek" National Managing Holding JSC.

According to him, due to the increase in the minimum thresholds for the sufficiency of pension savings for housing next year, unsatisfied demand for mortgages in the amount of 500 billion tenge ($1.07 billion), or 35,000 apartments, is projected.

He noted that following the results of negotiations with the Association of Financiers of Kazakhstan, the next basic conditions are proposed: the initial payment is from 20 percent, the loan term is up to 20 years, and the maximum loan amount is up to 35 million tenge ($75,400).

Furthermore, according to Sharlapayev, banks will be able to issue loans at their own expense for primary housing developers and housing under construction, secured by a guarantee of a Kazakh dwelling company.
