BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Kazakh Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs (NCE RK Atameken) proposed to create an Agrobank in Kazakhstan, Head of the Committee of agro-industrial complex of Atameken’s presidium Jiguli Daryabayev said at a press conference, Trend reports citing the Kazakh media.

It is necessary to get rid of excessive bureaucracy and documents, he said.

"We proposed to create an Agrobank. In this case, about 300,000 farmers will know where to address. We will insist and demand in order to implement the initiative. There should be no barriers for those who want to engage in agriculture," Daryabayev noted.

"Farmers need to collect 35 documents to receive funds. It is very difficult for them to collect all these documents," he noted.

"It is necessary to create conditions for farmers who want to work. The first step is to address the issue of food security. First of all, we need to resolve the issue of financing," Dairabayev said.

According to Daryabayev, there is a similar Agrobank in Russia.

"It is planned to use the experience of foreign countries to open an Agrobank if the initiative will be approved," he added.

Atameken also noted that specialized sectoral programs are being developed for farmers, which will include the full range of financial and non-financial support measures in the framework of food security.

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev instructed to introduce a mechanism for repayable lending in order to purchase locally produced agricultural machinery financed through ROP Operator LLP, at an expanded government meeting, on July 14.
