BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. Renting prices for comfortable housing in Kazakhstan grew by 47.2 percent in September 2022 on annual basis, Trend reports via the Bureau of National Statistics of Kazakhstan.

According to the bureau, the average rent price of housing per square meter in the reporting month equaled 4,612 tenge ($9.9) versus 4,029 tenge ($8.6) in the previous month.

Meanwhile, the higher average countrywide price - 5,611 tenge ($12) per square meter - was recorded in Almaty. Besides, high prices were recorded in Astana and Aktau - 4,485 tenge ($9.6) per square meter and 3,253 tenge ($6.9) per square meter, respectively.

The lowest price of rental housing in September this year was registered in Kyzylorda - 1,797 tenge ($3.8) per square meter, Taraz - 1,809 tenge ($3.86) per square meter and Zhezkazgan - 1,845 tenge ($3.94) per square meter.

Over the month, rental prices for comfortable housing have risen significantly (by 42.6 percent) in Kostanay city. Petropavlovsk ranked second in terms of price growth – 27 percent, and Karaganda city, where prices for rental housing in September increased by 21 percent compared to August, ranked third.

Slight growth in housing rental prices in the reporting month took place in Turkestan city - by 0.6 percent, Taldykorgan - by 3.5 percent, Shymkent - by 3.9 percent and Kyzylorda - by 4.3 percent.

Meanwhile, annual inflation amounted to 17.7 percent, and in the structure of the consumer price index, paid services rose by 12.3 percent over the year.
