BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 31. Around 11.8 billion Kazakh tenge ($25.62 million) will be allocated for the reconstruction of the road infrastructure in Kazakhstan’s Zhambyl region, Trend reports, citing the press service of the municipality.

The funds will be used for the maintenance and repair of 557.4 kilometers of roads.

Upon the completion of the work, the share of the roads in good condition will reach 98 percent in the region.

Some 252 road reconstruction projects were implemented in Zhambyl region in 2022, which led to the reconstruction of 9.4 kilometers of roads, as well as the maintenance and repair of 605.2 kilometers of roads.

Previous reports indicated that 895 projects for improving road infrastructure will be implemented in Zhambyl region by 2025. The overall cost of these projects is estimated to be around 73.6 billion Kazakh tenge ($159.8 million). This will the share of the roads in good and satisfactory condition up to 99.5 percent.
