Kazakhstan to allocate additional funds for its rural development program

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 14. Kazakhstan will allocate additional 55 billion Kazakh tenge ($120.1 million) on the implementation of "Aul-El Besіgi" project, aimed at rural development, Vice-Minister of National Economy Bauyrzhan Omarbekov said at a briefing, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

"This year, 143 billion tenge ($312.4 million) was allocated for the implementation of this project. With these funds, over 1,500 projects will be implemented in 736 villages of the country. Along with this, within the revision of the budget for 2023, it is planned to allocate an additional 55 billion tenge ($120.1 million)," he said.

According to Omarbekov, this will allow to carry out more than 120 projects on housing and communal services, 275 projects on social infrastructure and 1,300 transport projects.

Meanwhile, the implementation of the "Aul-El Besіgi" project was launched in accordance with the instructions of former President Nursultan Nazarbayev, given at the XVIII Congress of the Nur Otan Party on Feb. 27, 2019.
