BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Kazakhstan plans to build a plant for the production of irrigation equipment worth $20 million, with VODAR, the largest manufacturer of sprinkler systems in China, being an investor in the project, Trend reports via the Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan.
In regard to this, a memorandum of understanding was signed by the Minister of Agriculture of KazakhstanYerbol Karashukeyev and CEO of the VODAR Zhou Carson, as part of the minister's visit to China.
It is expected that the enterprise will be built on the territory of the Khorgos East Gate Special Economic Zone. The first production line will be launched this year. In addition, two demonstration sites will be installed in Almaty and Pavlodar regions in the coming months.
The company does not require additional measures of state support and is ready to work on market conditions.
During the meeting of the Kazakh minister with the management of VODAR and Kazakh Invest, a roadmap was also signed, which should give impetus to the development of bilateral relations.
VODAR irrigation systems are exported to 26 countries, including Australia, Hungary, Mongolia, the USA, and Russia. The company is one of the world leaders in the production of water-saving technologies.
