BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 30. Kazakhstan's QazaqGaz National Company launched the second line of the Makat-North Caucasus gas pipeline in the Makat District of the Atyrau Region, Trend reports.

This investment project is being implemented as part of the country's president's directive to enhance the reliability of gas supply to the population and major industrial enterprises in Atyrau City and the Atyrau Region, as well as to ensure the country's energy security.

The construction of the line, with a total cost of approximately 86 billion Kazakh tenge ($192 million), is one of the investment projects being carried out by the national company in collaboration with the Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund across Kazakhstan. This initiative aims to bolster the gas supply infrastructure, ensuring a stable and secure energy future for the country.

The Makat-North Caucasus gas pipeline project plays a vital role in strengthening the gas transmission network, improving connectivity, and meeting the growing demand for natural gas.

By expanding the pipeline's capacity, QazaqGaz aims to enhance the energy infrastructure's efficiency and reliability, providing a sustainable energy source for both residential and industrial consumers.
