ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 27. The Atyrau Refinery will produce 16,000 tons of gasoline and 28,000 tons of diesel fuel in October, Trend reports, referring to KazMunayGas (KMG, Kazakhstan's national oil and gas company).
The Atyrau Oil Refinery is preparing for the upcoming scheduled maintenance work (MW), which is scheduled for October 1 in accordance with the requirements of legislation in the field of industrial safety and the approved schedule of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan. Maintenance work is carried out annually and involves a set of measures for the care, supervision, operation, and repair of technological equipment aimed at preventing premature wear of parts, assemblies, and mechanisms and maintaining them in working condition.
In total, about 1,600 contractor employees, as well as 116 units of special equipment, will be involved in the maintenance work.
Stopping production during the period of scheduled maintenance work at the Atyrau Oil Refinery will not affect the shipment of petroleum products.
The accumulated stock of petroleum products at the start of scheduled maintenance work in the plant’s tanks will amount to 36,000 tons of gasoline and 32,000 thousand tons of diesel fuel.
The production and shipment of the main types of petroleum products will be carried out in accordance with the agreed plan of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
