ASTANA, Kazakhstan, October 13. KazTransOil JSC (an oil pipeline company of the Republic of Kazakhstan that provides services for transporting oil to the domestic market, for transit purposes, and for export) has increased the volume of oil transshipment into the Caspian Pipeline Consortium-K JSC system almost threefold from January through September 2023, the company told Trend.
Thus, the volume of oil transshipment through the CPC system during the reporting period amounted to 2.122 million tons, which is 1.378 million tons more than the figure for 9 months of 2022.
In addition, in the reporting period, 32.416 million tons of oil was transported separately through the system of main oil pipelines of KazTransOil.
This figure exceeds the same period in 2022 by 2.414 million tons.
From January through September 2022, the volume of oil transshipment into the CPC system amounted to 744,000 tons, which is 383,000 tons more than the figure for 9 months of 2021.
In the same time, for 9 months of 2022, 30.3 million tons of oil were transported through the main oil pipeline system of KazTransOil, which is 821,000 tons less compared to the figure for 9 months of 2021.
The CPC pipeline system is one of the largest investment projects in the energy sector with the participation of foreign capital in the CIS. It is unique in its own way, especially in the current political and economic situation in the region and the world.
The length of the Tengiz – Novorossiysk oil pipeline is 1,511 km. More than two-thirds of all Kazakh oil exports, as well as raw materials from Russian fields, including those located in the Caspian Sea, are transported along this route.
