BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 21. The Kazakh airline FlyArystan has plans to increase its route network, a source at the company told Trend.

As the source noted, the number of flights is planned to increase both on international and domestic routes.

According to the source, however, until the end of 2023, there will be no increase in frequencies in certain directions.

Speaking about the Azerbaijani direction, the source noted that FlyArystan’s route network includes directions from Aktau to Baku and from Astana to Baku.

"Since the start of these routes, the airline has transported over 72,000 people. The frequency of flights to these locations, as well as the possibility of launching new routes from or to Azerbaijan, are directly affected by demand, seasonality, and other external factors," the source noted.

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan's FlyArystan is a low-cost airline in Central Asia and the CIS, based in Almaty. The airline was created in 2018 on the basis of Air Astana.

FlyArystan's ticket sales started on March 29, 2019, on the airline’s website. The airline began operating commercial flights on domestic scheduled flights starting May 1, 2019.

On December 13, the Kazakh low-cost airline made its first international flight on the route Astana-Zhukovsky - Astana.

On April 1, 2022, the airline made its first flight to Heydar Aliyev International Airport (Baku, Azerbaijan) from Aktau (Kazakhstan).
