ASTANA, Kazakhstan, December 27. In Kazakhstan, 12,961 units of vehicles were produced in November 2023, with a total value of 162.1 billion tenge (about $352.7), Trend reports.
According to the Kazakhstan Automobile Union, this is 15.6 percent more than the same period in 2022 (11,216 units and 132.2 billion tenge, or about $287 million).
At the same time, in total, based on the results of eleven months, 136,909 units of vehicles of all types were produced in Kazakhstan worth over 1.65 trillion tenge (about $3.6 billion), which is 37.4 percent more than in the same period in 2022.
The main volume is accounted for by passenger cars: 124,491 units (an increase of 37.6 percent). According to the results of 11 months, truck production increased by 21.7 percent—8,201 units. In addition, 2,621 buses (an increase of 134 percent), 1,056 units of trailers and semi-trailers, and 540 units of other specialized equipment were produced.
In addition, the share of the automotive industry in mechanical engineering is 44.9 percent.
The Kazakhstan Automobile Union includes the Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the Association of Automotive Component Manufacturers, the Association of Public Transport, the Association of Importers, the Association of Dealers, the Association for the Sale of Used Cars, and the Association of Automotive Experts and Auditors (conformity assessment of automotive products).
