ASTANA, Kazakhstan, March 29. The total fleet of railway freight cars of Kazakhstan's Kaztemirtrans JSC (KTT, a subsidiary of Kazakhstan Railways) increased by 50 new gondola rail cars, Trend reports, citing the company.

According to the company, the gondola rail cars can carry up to 70 tons.

"The purchased railroad cars fully comply with all modern standards and are equipped with the necessary technical characteristics," the KTT said.

At the same time, cargo turnover by rail for the above period amounted to 48.8 billion ton-kilometers, which is 8.2 percent less than from January through February 2023.
