BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 18. The Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan informed about the current situation with monkeypox in the world and the measures taken to prevent its penetration into the country, the ministry's press service said, Trend reports.
It is reported that at present, not a single case of monkeypox has been recorded in Kazakhstan.
It is noted that in order to prevent the infection from being imported into the country, the Ministry of Health has strengthened controls at sanitary and quarantine points, including airports and border crossings, paying particular attention to citizens arriving from countries where cases of monkeypox have been recorded.
The Ministry continues to closely monitor the epidemiological situation and is ready to respond promptly to any changes.
