We are interested in development of new deposits in Kazakhstan: Indian PM

(Kazinform) - Today in the framework of G8 Summit in Saint Petersburg leader of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh.Kazakhstan is an important economic and political partner of India and the country is interested in extension of bilateral collaboration, Indian PM stressed opening the meeting.

According to him, it is crucial to activate cooperation between business circles of both countries. The Indian side showed keen interest in promotion of oil and gas sector in Kazakhstan, in particular, development of new deposits, reports Trend.

In his turn President of Kazakhstan noted that Kazakhstan and India have no unsettled issues impeding bilateral interaction. He underlined at present Kazakhstan possessed favorable climate for foreign investments and invited Indian businessmen to take part in modernization of industrial complex of the republic.

We are especially interested in construction of factories producing medicaments, development of textile industry and high technologies, the Head of the State pointed out.

During negotiations Nazarbayev received invitation to call on India from his Indian colleague.
