Business-forum of Kazakhstan and Georgia will be held in Astana in summer

( Gazeta ) - Summer 2007 will be opened in Astana by Kazakhstan and Georgia business-forum, reported on Friday RK Ministry of Transport and Communications press-service.

According to press-service, the aim of the conference is further diversification of bilateral export-import streams. On the forum parties plan to continue organize familiarization missions, seminars for information exchange and establish contacts between businessmen of two countries.

As reported in the ministry, the 3d Intergovernmental Kazakhstani-Georgian Committee on Trade-Economic Cooperation was held in Tbilisi in April 2007. Ministries and departments representatives of both countries have participated. Participants have discussed a number of questions in transport, trade, investment, energy, finances and agriculture.

As it was noticed, Kazakhstan takes the b3d place on investments volume which exceed USD 152 million in Georgian economy. Commodity turnover between two states in 2006 amounted USD 45,7 million against USD 59,2 million in 2005. Commodity turnover decreased mainly has happened because of mineral production export to Georgia decrease, pointed out in Ministry of Transport and Communication.

Next 4th meeting of Intergovernmental Kazakhstan-Georgia Committee on Trade-Economic Cooperation is scheduled on 2 quarter of 2008 to be held in Astana.
