Special Forces dispersed the protesters in the Jeti-Oguz district, electricity supply to the Kumtor mine resumed, KyrTAG reports according to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Issyk-Kul region on Friday.
Interior Ministry's special forces were directed to disperse the protesters. Activists were detained.
Earlier protesters armed with firebombs, entered the territory of the substation Tamga 220\110\ 24\10 kW power supply and cut off the elcetricity to the Kumtor mine in Issyk-Kul region.
Residents of Jeti-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region on May 27 gathered for a rally demanding the denunciation of the agreement on Kumtor mine and blocked the road.
