BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. The total volume of Kyrgyzstan’s coal imports from Kazakhstan decreased from January through March 2022, Trend reports citing the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.
Kyrgyzstan imported 53,000 tons of coal from Kazakhstan worth of $4.3 million in the first quarter of 2022, which is 2 times less compared to 106,000 tons in the reporting period of 2021 ($3.6 million).
According to the committee, the value of Kazakhstan’s exports to Kyrgyzstan amounted $142.4 million from January through March 2022, which is an increase of 5 percent compared to $135.5 million in the same period of 2021.
