BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 11. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in Samarkand on November 10, Trend reports citing the Kyrgyz president's press service.
During the meeting, the parties discussed topical areas of Kyrgyz-Hungarian bilateral cooperation, prospects for their further expansion, including transport, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Japarov emphasized the development of economic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, outlining the work of the Hungarian-Kyrgyz Development Fund, which is currently planning the implementation of several business projects worth $24 million.
Hungarian PM said that Hungary sees positive results in the socio-economic development of Kyrgyzstan under the leadership of President Japarov.
In addition, Orban underlined the importance of taking practical measures in the field of economic cooperation, citing as an example one of the priority issues - the need to open a direct flight between the two countries.
As a result of the meeting, Japarov and Orban agreed to further enhance bilateral relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary.
