BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 30. Revenues of Bishkek’s High-Tech Park in Kyrgyzstan considerably increased in 2021, Trend reports citing the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
According to ADB, the Bishkek's High-Tech Park revenues in 2021 increased by 81 percent compared to 2020, with the number of employees up by 52 percent.
"This High-Tech Park, clusters about 100 companies, including MSMEs. Manufactured products (software and information technology) are exported mainly to the US (38.2 percent of the 2021 exports, nearly three times more the 2020 value)," the ADB reports.
At the same time, the Bishkek's High-Tech Park products are also exported to Russia (16.6 percent of 2021 exports) and Kazakhstan (15.8 percent).
Meanwhile, one major development in technology and innovation is e-commerce. As in many countries, e-commerce and digitalization are expanding rapidly. Kyrgyzstan has its own Association of e-commerce, with members such as tech-based local firms Lalafo, Svetofor, Kivana, Namba market, and Wildberries.
