BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Turkish Southwind Airlines plans to start carrying out flights from Turkish Antalya to Kyrgyzstan’s capital, Bishkek, from April 15, Trend reports via the State Agency for Civil Aviation under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the agency, the flights are planned to operate twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays.

SouthWind Airlines is a Turkish low-cost airline, which fleet consists of 4 aircraft of the following types: Airbus A330 and Airbus A321.

Meanwhile, direct flights from Bishkek to Antalya are currently operated by Pegasus Airlines. Today, the flights are carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, beginning on March 26, the company will operate flights on all days, except Fridays and Sundays.

At the same time, Kyrgyzstan has held negotiations with the Chinese Loong Air airline to open regular flights from the Chinese Xian city to Bishkek.

According to the information, the flights are planned to be available from April 2023.

Kyrgyzstan and Russia worked on the issue of opening flights on the route Xian - Bishkek - Xian earlier, but the launch was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chinese Loong Air, headquartered in Hangzhou, provides passenger and cargo air transportation.
