BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 22. Kyrgyzstan produced 72,800 tons of crude oil from January through March 2023, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

According to the statistics, Kyrgyzstan’s crude oil production in 1Q2023 has increased by 2.5 percent year-on-year (71,000 tons from January through March 2023).

This March alone, Kyrgyzstan produced 26,100 tons of crude oil, which is 6.1 percent more than in the same month of 2022 (24,600 tons).

Meanwhile, the total value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan from January through March 2023 amounted to 92.4 billion soms (about $1 billion), which is 15 percent more than in 1Q2022 - 80.3 billion soms ($917 million).

Kyrgyzstan produced 295,100 tons of crude oil in 2022, which is an increase of 7 percent, compared to 275,700 tons of oil in 2021.

Most oil in an amount of 283,300 tons was produced in Jalal-Abad region in the country's southwest. This is an increase of 8 percent, compared to 263,300 tons in 2021.

Batken region, the second region in which crude oil was produced, manufactured 11,800 tons of oil in 2022, slightly decreasing over 12,100 tons in 2021.
