BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 23. Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Türkiye decreased in May 2023, amounting to $45.6 million, which is 17 percent lower compared to $55.1 million in May 2022, Trend reports.
Based on data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, exports from Türkiye to Kyrgyzstan reached $29.9 million in May 2023, reflecting a 3.5 percent decline compared to $31 million in May of the previous year.
Imports from Tajikistan to Türkiye totaled $15.7 million, decreasing by 34.8 percent compared to May 2022.
In total, trade turnover between Türkiye and Tajikistan amounted to $224.5 million from January through May 2023, which is 18 percent more than $190.2 million in the corresponding period of 2022.
During the period under review, export supplies from Türkiye to Tajikistan reached $153.4 million, increasing 43.8 percent compared to the same months of 2022 ($106.7). On the other hand, Turkish imports from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 14.9 percent – from 83.5 million to $71 million.
