BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, April 9. Kyrgyzstan's gross international reserves reached $3.491 billion at the end of March 2024, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, in March of the current year, gross international reserves increased by $167.34 million compared to February 2024 ($3.323 billion) and by $254.68 million compared to the end of December 2023 ($3.236 billion). Meanwhile, compared to March of the previous year ($2.489 billion), they grew by more than $1 billion.

In March 2024, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan recorded its highest level of reserves in history. Prior to this, the highest levels of amount were observed in February 2024 ($3.323 billion), December 2023 ($3.236 billion), and September 2021 ($3.241 billion).
The National Bank uses these reserves to uphold the purchasing power of the national currency, maintain price stability, ensure financial stability, and other purposes.
