BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 24. Tajikistan increased the volume of cargo transportation by all types of transport from January through May 2022, Trend reports via Avesta.tj.
Tajikistan's cargo transportation by all types of transport in the first five months of 2022 amounted to 37.7 million tons, which is an increase of 15.4 percent compared to the same period of 2021.
In the reporting period, 35.4 million tons of goods were transported by road, which is 16.3 percent more compared to last year.
Over 2.2 million tons were transported by rail from January through May 2022, which is an increase of 2.6 percent compared to the same period last year.
Meanwhile, air cargo transportation in Tajikistan for the first five months of 2022 amounted to 223 tons.
