Kazakhstan's export to Tajikistan ramps up

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, March 19. The trade turnover between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan reached $93.544 million in January 2024, which is a 6-percent increase compared to the same month in 2023 ($99.183 million), Trend reports.

Data from Kazakhstan's Bureau of National Statistics reveals that the country's exports to Tajikistan amounted to $82.719 million, which is an increase of 30 percent from $63.651 million in January 2023.

Kazakhstan's imports from Tajikistan totaled $10.824 million, decreasing by 69.5 percent compared to $35.531 million in January 2023.

Tajikistan's share in Kazakhstan's total trade turnover accounted for 0.9 percent. Specifically, Tajikistan's exports constituted 1.4 percent of the total volume, while imports comprised 0.3 percent.

Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $10.08 billion in January 2024, which is a decrease of 1.9 percent compared to the same period in 2023.

The country's exports totaled $5.9 billion, which is 1.8 percent less than in January 2023, while imports decreased by 2.1 percent, totaling $4.18 billion.
