President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting, during which a proposal was presented on an additional agreement between the Turkmennebit state concern and Tatneft Public Joint Stock Company (PJSC) of Tatarstan (Russia) for the repair and commissioning of wells.
Chairman of the Turkmennebit State Concern Guichgeldi Baygeldiev noted that due to the complex geological structure and numerous faults, the Turkmen Goturdepe field is divided into four parts - central, western, eastern and northern. He also cited a number of figures on the recoverable oil reserves in this field, as well as on the productive horizons.
According to Baygeldiev, in recent years, the rich experience of foreign companies in the workover of wells for the effective extraction of oil reserves has been studied.
Baygeldiev presented a proposal prepared jointly with Tatneft PJSC for consideration by the head of state.
In turn, the head of Tatneft, Nail Maganov, informed the president about the work carried out in accordance with the signed contracts at a number of fields in Western Turkmenistan.
Tatneft PJSC and Turkmenistan have been cooperating since 2008. On January 25, 2021, a production for the repair of used tubing was launched at the Tatneft branch in Turkmenistan.
