Turkmenistan is actively cooperating with Kazakhstan in strengthening regional and global security, Trend reports referring to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, who arrived in Ashgabat on a state visit, discussed a wide range of issues of Turkmen-Kazakh cooperation in the context of the agreements reached earlier.
According to the information, there is a high level of cooperation and coordination of joint steps between Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan within the framework of major international organizations. Trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties are developing consistently.
It agency reports that today, about two and a half thousand Turkmen students study at the universities of Kazakhstan. The practice of regular contacts between scientists of the two countries has been established, direct ties between the leading universities of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan are being activated. Another confirmation of this was the online signing of a Memorandum between the Institute of International Relations (IIR) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
In the IIR, large-scale work was carried out in the past to establish and maintain business and scientific contacts with many foreign educational institutions.
Also, it is noted that cooperation with the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, which is a multidisciplinary and leading university in the country, will increase the range of international relations of the IRR of Turkmenistan.
