BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 6. Turkmenistan plans to increase the volume of natural gas and oil production in the next 2 years due to state financial support of "Turkmengaz", "Turkmennebit" and "Turkmengeologiya" enterprises, Trend reports citing Arzuw News.
This was stated by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that it is planned to conclude a contract for the purchase of necessary equipment for carrying out repair work at some gas fields.
Furthermore, "Türkmengeologiýa" state corporation has planned to drill new exploration wells in order to increase production.
Due to the increasing dynamics of the construction of production facilities in Turkmenistan, the industry is becoming one of the major sectors of the economy, which is given great importance in increasing the export potential of the state.
