BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. Turkmenistan's foreign trade turnover increased by 42.5 percent from January through May 2022 compared to the same period last year, Trend reports via Business Turkmenistan news agency.
This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Turkmenistan Mukhammetguly Mukhammedov during a joint meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Security Council of Turkmenistan.
According to him, during the reporting period, production in Turkmenistan increased by 11.5 percent compared to January through May 2021 period, and retail trade turnover has grown by 10.6 percent.
The meeting summed up the results of the government's work in the economic sphere for 5 months of 2022, assessed the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers, identified priority tasks for the social and economic development of Turkmenistan, and considered a number of other issues.
