BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 2. Turkmen Ambassador to Slovenia (with a residence in Moscow, the capital of Russia) Batyr Niyazaliyev attended a reception for heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited in the country at the invitation of Slovenian President Natasa Pirc Musar and Slovenian Prime Minister Robert Golob, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Moscow.

During the trip, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan held a meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia Tanja Fajon, with the heads of the Department of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia and the Department of Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovenia.

During a number of meetings, issues related to the development of the Turkmen-Slovenian partnership in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian fields were discussed.

The sides expressed interest in expanding Turkmen-Slovenian cooperation, including in the context of considering the possibility of bilateral visits at the highest level this year, and also noted the importance of holding political consultations at the level of the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries and stated the expediency of expanding the bilateral legal framework.

Furthermore, during the visit, issues of preparation for the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Slovenian Commission on Economic Cooperation to be held in the Ljubljana (Slovenia) at the end of March 2023 and the organization of meetings of members of the Turkmen delegation with representatives of ministries and departments of Slovenia, were discussed.
