BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 23. Turkmenabat chemical plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov, located in the Lebap region of Turkmenistan, manufactured products worth over 34.46 million Turkmen manats ($9.83 million) from January through April 2023, Trend reports.
According to the official source of Turkmenistan, during the reporting period, the plant manufactured 79,000 tons of phosphorous mineral fertilizers, fulfilling the plan by 100.8 percent.
The growth rate of production in the first 4 months of this year compared to the same period in 2022 is 18.7 percent.
At the same time, the plant produced 36,910 tons of sulfuric acid from January through April 2023, which is significantly more than in the same period last year.
Turkmenabat chemical plant named after Saparmurat Niyazov is the only production enterprise in Turkmenistan for the production of phosphorus fertilizers necessary to increase the yield of cotton, grain and other agricultural crops.
