Turkmenistan unveils October sales figures for textile products on its exchange

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 7. Turkmenistan sold textile products worth more than $13.22 million to foreign businessmen in October this year through the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange, Trend reports.

According to the exchange, the volume of textile product sales to private entrepreneurs in the defined time is 31.4 percent lower than the previous month's sales, which totaled $19.29 million.

Turkmenistan sold $130 million worth of goods on its state commodity exchange in October of this year.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan plans to invest up to $300 million in more than 30 textile projects by 2025.

Significant investments will be made not just to improve existing capabilities, but also to develop over ten new manufacturing facilities by expanding on existing firms.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
