ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, March 14. Turkmenistan has launched the second phase of the Lebap Cement Plant, located in the Koytendag district of the eastern region of the country, Trend reports.
According to official data, a large industrial enterprise built and commissioned by the Turkmen Engam Economic Society in the vicinity of the first Lebap Cement Plant combines the latest achievements of modern industrial production.
The new plant, designed to produce 1 million tons of cement per year, has equipment that meets the high quality standards of the world's leading manufacturers.
Furthermore, according to calculations, the amount of harmful substances released during the production process is significantly less than the permissible concentrations.
So, powerful filters will be used to capture and clean up the dust released into the air.
The second stage of the plant was built in a region with large reserves of the main raw materials needed for production and is located in the immediate vicinity of their production sites.
Meanwhile, the first stage of this cement plant was put into operation in February 2013, after which the plant actively began selling products both on the domestic market and abroad.
