New projects to bring benefits for Uzbek electrotechnical sector

According to the approved 'Road Map' for the accelerated development of the electrical industry, 71 projects worth $558.9 million will be implemented in Uzbekistan in 2019-2021, Trend reports with reference to Uzbek media.

“The enterprises of the electrical industry will be able to enjoy a number of benefits since July First,” said Alisher Abdullayev, the Chairman of the Board of Uzeltehsanoat said June 13 during a briefing.

In particular, when implementing state purchases of electrical and electrical products, local manufacturers can take advantage of the price preferences of up to 20 percent. Until January 1, 2022, enterprises that are members of the Uzeltehsanoat association will be exempt from customs duties for raw materials, components and equipment imported for their own production needs.

Abdullayev, also spoke about the measures to be taken to develop the manufacturing of import-substituting, energy-saving, affordable and high-quality electrical and electrical household products.
