Uzbek Central Bank notes growth in volume of loans issued to individuals in 2M2022

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. The volume of loans issued to individuals in Uzbekistan from January through February 2022, increased by 28.2 percent compared to the same period last year (55.3 trillion soums, or $4.8 billion), reaching 70.9 trillion soums ($6.2 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.

From the total volume of loans issued to individuals in the corresponding period, mortgage loans accounted for 37 trillion soums ($3.2 billion), microloans accounted for 10.9 trillion soums ($959.7 million), consumer loans accounted for 11.8 trillion soums ($1 billion).

At the same time, the volume of loans issued to legal entities increased from January through February 2022 by 13.9 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (224.8 trillion soums, or $19.7 billion) reaching 256.2 trillion soums ($22.4 billion).
