BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The volume of industrial production in Uzbekistan from January through March 2022 amounted to 113.9 trillion soums ($10.1 billion), which is an increase of 24.5 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (91.5 trillion soums, or $8.1 billion), Trend reports referring to the Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
The volume of production of the mining industry for the corresponding period amounted to 12.3 trillion soums ($1 billion), which is an increase of 29.6 percent compared to the same period last year (9.5 trillion soums, or $841.8 million).
During this period the volume of production of the manufacturing industry increased by 25 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (73.3 trillion soums, or $6.5 billion), reaching 91.7 trillion soums ($8.1 billion).
From January through March 2022 the volume of production in the field of electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning reached 9.3 trillion soums ($824.4 million).
