BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 29. The United States USAID Agency for International Development intends to continue work to develop renewable energy (RE) in Uzbekistan in 2022, Communications Specialist at USAID Mission to Uzbekistan Sanobar Khudaybergenova told Trend.

“USAID will provide further details on the impact of RE on static and dynamic stability of the grid, short-circuit power and protection systems,” Khudaybergenova said.

According to her, the agency will develop detailed recommendations on smart grid technologies for reactive power compensation for mitigating the impact of RE on the grid. Besides that, pilot renewable energy generation forecasting systems with the Uzbek National Electricity System (NES) will be developed.
