BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 24. Uzbekistan has exported 158,700 tons of onions worth $22.4 million in 7 months of 2022,Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Agriculture.
During this period, main importers of Uzbek onion were Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Latvia, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Oman.
In order to meet the needs of the population of the country in onions, to establish price stability in the markets in 2022, all categories of farms will produce a total of 1.9 million tons of onions.
For the harvest of 2022, farmers and agricultural enterprises in the regions sowed a total of 59,100 hectares of land.
