BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The government of Uzbekistan started the process of privatization of its Kyzylkum phosphorite complex, Trend reports via the Uzbek Agency for State Assets Management.
The agency has already announced the start of the selection of consultants for the privatization of the complex.
The government plans to sell 100 percent of the state stake in the enterprise. The consultant must analyze the state of the enterprise and the market, and provide recommendations for a future transaction.
The Kyzylkum phosphorite complex is located in the Kanimekh district of the country’s Navoi region. The enterprise can produce up to 716,000 tons of phosphorite concentrate and phosphate rock per year.
