BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 13. Uzbekistan has shared data on the volume of refrigerator exports from January through December 2022, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.
Statistics note that, during the reporting period, Uzbekistan exported 316,700 refrigerators abroad worth $78.6 million.
According to the committee, the export of refrigerators increased by 30.9 percent or 74,800 units compared to the corresponding period in 2021.
Most of the refrigerators exports went to Russia (105,300), followed by Kazakhstan (104, 700), Tajikistan (63,700), Kyrgyzstan (21,100), and other countries (21,900).
Furthermore, Russia was the largest foreign trade partner of Uzbekistan in 2022. The trade turnover between the countries from January through December 2022 amounted to $9.2 billion. During the reporting period, besides refrigerators, Russia imported from Uzbekistan 146,700 units of TVs, and textile products worth $1.26 billion, as well as some 541,900 tons of fruit and vegetables worth $486,700 million.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover in 2022 amounted to $50.08 billion. This figure increased by 18.6 percent or $7.8 billion, compared to the figure for 2021.
