Uzbekistan records decline in gas output for 2M2023

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 31. The large enterprises of Uzbekistan have manufactured some 8.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas from January through February 2023, Trend reports via Uzbek State Statistics Committee.

According to statistics, the country’s natural gas output has down by 8.2 percent, compared to what was produced during the first two months of 2022 (8.8 billion cubic meters).

Uzbekistan’s large industrial enterprises overall in the reporting period manufactured products worth 72.8 trillion soums ($6.3 billion), which is an increase of 9.1 percent, compared to the figure for the first two months in 2022 (66.7 trillion soums or $5.8 billion).

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan also produced some 110,700 tons of diesel fuel, some 263,900 tons of gasoline, some 209,500 tons of gas condensate, as well as trucks (350), automobile engines (21,402), buses (114), tractors (7), lead batteries (190,800), refrigerators (65,200), etc.

In 2022, Uzbekistan’s output of natural gas decreased by 3.9 percent and reached 51.6 billion cubic meters over 53.8 billion cubic meters in 2021.

At the same time, Uzbek large enterprises in 2022 manufactured industrial products worth 551.1 trillion soums ($48.4 billion), which is 5.2 percent more than what was produced during the reporting period in 2021.
