TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, December 22. New solar photovoltaic station is currently being built at the Uzbek Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant, Trend reports.
As per data provided by Uzbekistan's Ministry of Energy, the new station will have a capacity of 520 kW.
After the station is put into operation, it is expected to generate 760,000 kWh of electricity per year. As a result, 81,000 cubic meters of natural gas will be saved.
Meanwhile, 1.3 MW worth of green energy installations currently operate at the Syrdarya Thermal Power Plant.
As a result of the commissioning of new solar panels, the total capacity of solar photovoltaic installations is said to reach 1.8 MW.
