TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, January 20. French Eiffage company discussed implementing projects with Uzbekistan at a meeting, Trend reports.
The Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris hosted a meeting with the Director of International Water and Environment Department of the French Eiffage company Nicolas Sureau and Head of Commercial Department of the company.
Nicolas Sureau stressed that the agreements reached after the visit of the French President to Uzbekistan on November 1-2, 2023 will serve to further development of bilateral cooperation.
He said that the construction matters of long-term water pipelines in Kashkadarya province that meet international standards, introduction of energy and water-saving technologies, effective water infrastructure management system are currently under consideration.
In addition, during the meeting the possibilities of organizing training for teachers working in educational centers for qualified specialists in the field of construction on training programs organized by Eiffage company in France were discussed.
As a result of the meeting, an agreement was reached on further activation of mutual cooperation in these spheres and organization of relevant negotiations.
Earlier, French Voltalia electric services company and Uzbekistan have signed a protocol for the construction of a new hybrid power plant project in Shurkul district near Uzbekistan’s Navoi region.
The power facility will combine a wind farm and a solar photovoltaic farm, each having a capacity of 200 MW. A 60 MW battery system (with a total capacity of 240 MWh) will also be included in the complex.
