Uzbekistan shares volume of planned investment projects for 2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 1. Uzbekistan plans to launch 309 investment projects worth $18 billion in 2024, Trend reports.

This is stated in the draft decree of Uzbekistan's president on the state program for 2024.

The document notes that the growth of Uzbekistan's economy will amount to 6 percent in 2024, and inflation will be no more than 9 percent.

The state program will allocate 275 trillion soums ($22.2 billion) to stimulate the economy, including 41 trillion soums ($3.3 billion) for microfinance services.

Meanwhile, the volume of investment projects in Uzbekistan totaled $9.49 million in 2023.

According to the Investment Ministry of Uzbekistan, the total number of projects reached 306 over the last year. These projects envisaged 55,385 workplaces.

Earlier, Uzbekistan published an annual report noting that the country had attracted more than $22 billion in foreign investments in 2023. The volume of foreign investments increased 1.8 times in 2023 year-on-year.
