TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 12. Turkish Warboots company specializing in the production of special footwear is planning to implement a large-scale project in Uzbekistan, Trend reports.

According to the Uzcharmsanoat Association, this was discussed during a meeting between manufacturers of footwear from Uzbekistan with Turkish colleagues in Bursa (Türkiye).

The company intends to build its largest production facility in the world on a territory of 8 hectares in Akhangaran. The cost of this project is estimated at $50 million.

At the initial stage, the investment will total $15 million. After the launch of the plant, more than 4,000 new jobs will be created. When the project is fully launched, it is planned to export products worth $700 million.

Representatives of Warboots will visit Uzbekistan in March 2024 to study the possibilities of local production and familiarize themselves with the land plots.

Along with Türkiye, Chinese footwear brands also show growing interest in Uzbekistan; some of them are ready to transfer part of their production to the country.

This was announced at a meeting between the delegation of the Uzcharmsanoat Association in China's Wenzhou Province and leaders and members of the Wenzhou Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which unites manufacturers of footwear equipment.
